Katelyn Boyd '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches! My name is Katie Boyd, and I am looking forward to getting my name out there! I started field hockey in a small children’s league, and have worked my way to where I am now, playing for Typhoon Elite and James Monroe High School, primarily as a defender.

I pride myself in many skills on and off the field. I feel one of the most important skills you can have is being coachable, and I am glad I can relay this. I also believe that I exhibit leadership not only on the field but off as well. I am very proud of my ability to show heart and effort in the ways I play.

My academic achievement is something I’ve always held important to me, I currently hold a 4.0 GPA, while also taking advanced classes. This is something i plan to keep as i advance through high school.
