I envision my college years as being a huge growth period for me. I am a team player, no matter the sport whether it’s judo, swim, track or football. I will always put the greatness of the team over my personal agenda. I believe a team cannot become great if there is too much selfishness among its members. My entire sports experience has been around a team effort and complete collaboration. Whether it is winning a race to add points to the team; throwing the discus or shot put to advance the team’s ranking; or winning a judo match in team competition, I know the greatest asset of a team is the collective membership of that team. This means I will push myself to become the best on the field. Over my years of playing sports, I have proven to have one of the best work ethics. I’ve shown this by starting on varsity as a sophomore, going to states as a freshman for swimming and by taking 3rd in the Junior Olympics for my first ever national tournament. I listen and excel at the tasks given to me. I’ve been told I’m a very coachable athlete. I always want to better myself. I want to be the best I can in all areas of my life, especially academics and sports. I want to succeed in my academics as well therefore, I hope to major in the Pre-Med.
