My name is Michael Gentis. I’m going into my senior year of high school for 2024- 2025 and plan on participating in football, track and wrestling. I have played football since the age of 7 and have loved the game ever since. I play center and long snapper. I have been a team captain 5 of the 7 years I played in youth football. I received the MVP award twice, best defensive lineman award twice, and most outstanding offensive player once. I also received, what we call, “The Bear Award” for for being a leader on and off the field, keeping a positive attitude, and maintaining good grades. My freshman year of football I was moved to the JV level and then moved up to varsity for the play offs. My sophomore year I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to be starting center for our varsity team. I also wrestle at the varsity level. 2022-2023 I played JV baseball and 2023-2024 I will be joining track and field. I have a job and work on weekends and vacations. Even more than my achievements on the field, I am proud of my work ethic on and off the field. I have never been a quitter and always give 100% of myself. I pride myself on being well versed and adaptable. My goal is to be accepted to a division 1 college where I can continue to play football and study business. I believe that I would be an asset to any team as I have a strong desire to succeed on and off the field. I’m a good leader but also know when it’s time to follow. I’m smart and plan to maintain my GPA throughout high-school. I look forward to continue playing the game I love and showing what I am capable of.
