Erica Walker '23 Recruiting Profile

I started throwing in junior high as a part of being a multiple sport athlete which I was from a very young age. Now entering the spring of my junior year I have decided to become a specialized athlete in track and field throws. Since I’ve started throwing I have learned that I like to pay attention to detail, work with others, and complete goals. I also have a teachable spirit which comes from being raised in a sports family. I have learned this far that character matters, hard work pays off, and having fun is important. I have learned that listening to direction and feedback made me a better athlete and being the best I can be makes throwing enjoyable.  I want to go to a university at which I can be competitive. Right now my interest lies in exercise science because I would like to be a therapist.
