Personal Statement

I am a competitor at heart and it doesn't matter if it's sports, ping pong, checkers, math problems, or a card game!   I love challenging myself in most aspects of my life.  My coaches comment I have such a calm demeanor and can perform under pressure.   I grew up in an amazing small mountain town and love spending time outside, with my big family and friends.   I plan on pursuing a career in STEM with the hopes to one day return back to Sonora,  to help create an infrastructure that is safer for our small community against forest fires.  I am a three sport athlete but find volleyball the most exhilarating sport.   I am currently accepted into the Middle College dual enrollment  program through my high school where I am able to earn college credit as well as high school credits at the same time.   I love to travel and plan to do a lot more of it as time allows. I am a 6 rotation team player for club and high school, plus was a part time setter for my high school team and have been voted team captain all 4 years.   Fall 2021 and 2022,  I helped lead my high school volleyball team to a Sections Championship Final and was voted Motherlode League MVP as a junior and senior. For club I helped my team win a bid to Nationals this past summer.  I prefer to lead by example and develop relationships on and off the court to help build trust and cohesion on the court.  My faith is a big part of who I am as a person and student athlete.  As I look to my future,  I want to play for a program that values integrity and creates an atmosphere for its student athletes a family away from family.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
