My name is Roddy Joe Hebert and I am a rising defensive end from Louisiana. I am usually judged by my size and body type before my skills and talents are seen. Please, don't judge this book by the cover. Perseverance and dedication are my greatest qualities. I believe football is not just another sport to play but a brotherhood. I have great handwork that has helped me go past the offensive line and defeat opponents who often outweigh me. From fast hands to quick blast-off from the line of scrimmage are among my greatest strengths, allowing me to apply pressure in the backfield and disrupt plays with impressive efficiency. I am coachable and take my training very seriously.
My goal is to study business and continue to grow my father's legacy, while doing so, give my all to my brothers on the field. I can be versatile on the field, no matter where my coach puts me, I will go home and do my absolute best to master new skills he gives me. I've played defensive tackle, defensive guard, offensive guard , offensive tackle, running back, and wide receiver. However, Defensive End has been my favorite position.
I have kept an A,B Honor roll with a 3.32 GPA. My grades are very important to me and I have worked hard to create a balance between my studies and extra curricular activities in order to be successful in both. I take pride in what I do but also humble enough to know I can always improve and not to take any moment for granted.
