Personal Statement
I absolutely LOVE playing football. I have learned so many lessons on the field that are applicable to everyday life. For example: You win as a team - not as an individual. Winning a game starts on the Saturday before the next Friday night game. Preparation is the key to victory. A truly successful athlete demonstrates a high level of sportsmanship on the field and off the field. Give it your all - every time and every play - even if you stay on the field for every play. NO EXCUSES.
I appreciate the contribution that each of my coaches has provided to my growth as a football player and as an individual. One of my greatest joys on the field is helping my teammates to achieve a higher level of performance. I do this by praising them where I can, and helping them where needed. I truly enjoy assisting the younger players before, during, and after each game. There is very little that is more satisfying to me than when I see the sense of pride in my teammates eyes when they have mastered a new skill and have added to the success of the team by using it.
I look forward to the opportunity to meet and exceed the challenge of playing at a higher level of competition in college. I know that I could be an extremely valuable asset to a college team. I look forward to contributing to the success of my college team and the opportunity to learn from others. I am determined to give my all, and to have ZERO regrets when I look back on my playing career.
