Samuel Wallin #1 ...My collegiate goals are to earn a degree and to compete in basketball. I take both of these equally serious. My current class rank is 73 out of 461. Doing well academically has always been important to me. I am not satisfied with being average at basketball or school. I have a passion and desire to play basketball at the next level. I would be a good candidate for a college basketball team because I have worked hard from an early age at developing effective basketball skills, I have always had a love for playing competitive basketball, and I am willing to make sacrifices for the betterment of the team. I believe I am coachable, eager to learn, and open to constructive critisism. I also believe it is important to think for myself and not always be told exactly what to do. Though winning is very important to me, I value brotherhood and friendship with my teammates and want them also to succeed. On the court, I take as much satisfaction in making a great assist to a teammate as scoring. I prefer to react to any mistakes by my teammates with encouragment rather than yelling at them. I might not be the strongest or tallest athlete, but I believe my work ethic makes me different. I have dedicated my life to basketball, along with family and academics. I am self motivated and strive on working hard to get better each day.
