Jerry Taylor, Jr. '22 Recruiting Profile

2024-2025 I am currently attending Jackson State Community College, a D1 Jr. College. This is my 2nd year in college and I plan to graduate with my associates degree in May 2025. I am the captain and starting forward on my basketball team. I average 13.4 PTS/G, 7.1 REB/G, 2.3 A/G, 72.9% FT, 47.1 FG%, and 3PT% is 44.1. 

I would love to attend a D1 college after I graduate, play in the G-League, overseas or in the NBA.

I have been playing basketball since I was three years old. Since I first stepped on the court, I have aspired to play at the collegiate level. I have strong ball handling skills, nice foot work, good free throw shooter, and a high basketball IQ. I am a team leader and lead my team by example as I encourage them. I am coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players for any team I play for.

Off the court, I study hard and maintain a good GPA. I also play the drums for my church where I work with the young men with Outreach Ministry.

I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the basketball court. I would love to find the right college match at the highest level of competition. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers, pursue my lifetime dream to become an NBA star, and make my parents proud.
