2021 SpotlightHi my name is Paul Navaud, I am 17 years old and I am a composed and positive person. I have played many sports in the past and have been chosen captain for 3 of those. Which are volley-ball, ultimate frisbee, and soccer. My team and I finished 3rd/10 teams in the volley-ball championship, 2nd/20 teams in the Bantam ultimate frisbee championships and 1st place/ 30 teams in the soccer championships.
I believe that being put under pressure and being dissapointed is apart of growing not only as an athlete but as a person. I try my best in these types of situations to acknowledge what's going on, staying calm and positive no matter what, because that's how you come out of any unfavorable situation.
I am thrilled about furthering my education because it is as important to be an athlete as it is to become an intellectual.
I came to love golf when I realized how much it had taught me. It taught me the power of positive thinking and the importance of staying calm under stress or discomfort. I absolutely love competing, time after time it puts me in check and shows me what parts of my game I need to improve and work on, wether that is mechanics or mental. I've been competing since November 2019 so I haven't had the chance to do as many tournaments as I would have wished because of covid. But this year I will do as many competitions as I can. I know my work ethic will get me to where I want to be.
