Personal Statement
I was introduced to the sport of golf when I was about 4 years old. Even at a young age I loved golf and everything about it. I moved to Edmond when I was in the second grade and that is when my love for the sport slowly faded away and I completely quit playing. It wasn't until I turned 14 when I fell in love with the game again. I was going to the driving range and watching YouTube videos every chance I got to improve my swing and my game. I never played for a school team until my sophomore year of high school when I tried out and made the varsity team. I was learning very quickly and lived on the course. The summer after my sophomore year was when I first starting playing in competitive multi-day events, my low round of the summer and to date is even par 70. I am very excited to play this coming golf season and the rest of my high school career. If I get the opportunity to play college golf those years will be the years that will take the most adjusting and learning but it will also be the time where I will improve my game every day. Playing college golf is a privilege and I will treat it like that every time I step on the course and walk into the class room.
