My name is Jason Diemont and I am from Allen, TX. I am looking for a university that can help me grow with my passions of Engineering and Golf. As you can see academically, I am ahead of the curve. I am in the Allen ISD Gifted and Talented program, where I have grown throughout my school years. With my good academic grades and State test scores, I was provided the opportunity to take the SAT and ACT early as part of the Duke TIP program. I like to be challenged both academically and athletically, which allows me to grow as a person. Prior to me even stepping foot on the high school campus, I already have three high school credits under my belt.
I started playing golf when I was two years old with my father. I have played in North Texas tournaments off and on since I was 5 years old. The US Kids and Northern Texas PGA Juniors tournaments have provided me the ability to progress and challenge myself as an individual in a competitive environment. I also understand team competition, since I have also played Soccer at the highest level in North Texas. I was a defender/forward for my club team that was in the top division of North Texas (Classic League division I). Therefore, I believe with my skills and leadership capabilities, I can help the college I attend both as an individual and as part of the larger team.
My summer tournament schedule will be light due to a recent injury in late April. I was registered to go to a golf camp and tournament in Lubbock, Texas but due to COVID-19 those were canceled. Doctor's orders are no full contact swings until late June and I will not be released to play tournaments until July.
