Personal Statement
My dream is to play high-level college hockey and take a team as far as possible with the end goal of a championship. Another goal is to get a great education, obtain my degree and be prepared for work in the real world and possibly give back to the younger generations trying to climb the ranks in the hockey world.
A major milestone in my hockey career was winning U14 Massachusetts state playoffs. This allowed my team with me as the sole goaltender to have a chance to compete for the national title. We made to quarter-finals after going 3-0 in regulation games. It was one an unforgettable experience that I will always carry with me.
I feel I would be a good candidate because of my ability to lift spirits in low moments and keep the team in the right mindset. One of the things I enjoy most is pushing and encouraging people to be and do their best on and off the ice. I have good grades and have been in honors classes all my life and switched schools from a tech school to a normal high school to focus more on hockey and academics.
I enjoy being in those high-pressure games. The ones to clinch a play off spot, the elimination games, the ones against our rivals. For my college experience, I want to have more fun, continue to grow as a goalie, sportsman, and person.
