Personal Statement
My name is Jakob Holley, I’m an ’02 power forward from Tulsa, OK. I’m strong, fast and can see the ice very well. My strengths include speed, back-checking, puck protection, grinding hard in the corners and the ability to get to the net for goal opportunities. I put in the work, on and off the ice. My strong work ethic with hockey has always been a priority for me. I play for the name on the front of the jersey and always represent my organization and community with pride and respect. I’ve been playing away from home since 14 years of age, I played two years USPHL midget hockey at the AAA level for the Northern Cyclones in New Hampshire. This year I’m playing Junior level hockey at the Elite and Premier level for Atlanta. I have always pushed to lead by example, willing to be better and push my teammates to be the best they can be. I want to score and I want to win, and to do that I’m prepared to put in the dedication it takes. I believe to make it far in this sport (or any sport), success starts with coaching, I value everything that I’m taught and strive to be the most coach-able and hardworking recruit. I think all of my past coaches would refer me with these attributes. This year (2019-2020) I’m a senior holding a 3.83 GPA and looking to finish out high-school strong this year. I aspire to play at the collegiate level.
