Brenden Rie '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Brenden Rie,  a high school student from northern New Jersey who has ambitious goals leading into college and beyond.  As a young aspiring athlete, I am willing to compete with  anyone for the opportunities that colleges provide, but if things are not going my way in reaching those goals I will not let it deter me. Right now, I start on my high school's varsity lacrosse and hockey programs. Additionally, I play club lacrosse  for Express North and  club hockey for the Westchester Vipers. Academically, I am a good student with a 3.4 unweighted GPA. In class I can be a thought provoking student as I ask teachers and peers questions that lead to discussion. As of right now, I am in all CPE classes and  involved in DECA and the ski club. The factors separating me from my peers and defining me are my persistence and creativity both in the classroom and on the field. Furthermore, despite to my schedule being as hectic as it is, I am able to excel in all that I do in academia and athletics leading to  skills that will easily translate and support me as I begin my carrer as a college student-athlete.
