Personal Statement

I am a 6’3” rower (175 lbs) from Sarasota, Florida. I am a varsity rower and have rowed in State and Regional Championships. This year I hope to row at Nationals. When not rowing, I’m a serious student with a 4.0 GPA at Pine View School in Osprey. I want to major in Biology or Biomedical Engineering. Preferably, I want to attend a medium to large sized university in the North-East, West or Mid-West. Rowing has taught me to stick to a schedule, be disciplined and balance rowing and school. Even more importantly, rowing has been the place I feel my best and have my closest friends. I truly appreciate being part of a team and give it my all which is why I want to be a student-athlete in college.
