Once I joined rowing in 2021 as a freshman after playing soccer for 9 years, I really got burnt up with passion to excel at this sport. This being my junior year, I find myself with little to say for my name when it comes to competitive events but I can also say that every day that passes I push myself to become a greater me in both rowing and in life and am confident in where this sport can take me. Having a glimpse at more competitive rowing at the 2023 ODP YDC in Chattanooga has really made me want to continue in my pursuit not only for speed but to find others like me across the world. My goal is to be able to have a known face so that I can reach out to other Hispanics like me who never knew about rowing until someone lit that spark that changed my life. Rowing has opened so many parts in my life and I can thank rowing for the best experiences and friends I have had in my life.
