Dear Coaches,
I have been playing soccer since I was very young. Early on I tried out other sports, but soccer was the one I liked most, so I continued to play as I grew up. My parents and I often visit my family in France, which allowed me to attend the Girondins de Bordeaux soccer training camp five summers in a row. The camp helped me develop as a player because it gave me the opportunity to understand how French players are taught to play. Today, part of what makes me a good asset to my team is that I can play multiple positions; my favored position is Attacking Midfield, but this season I have played Striker, Attacking Midfield, Central Midfield, Left Wing and Left Back. Although I have a strong left foot, I am ambidextrous, therefore I am comfortable passing and shooting with both feet.
In terms of Academics, I attend Basis Phoenix, one of the most rigorous schools in the nation, and I have been an AP Scholar with Distinction since the end of 10th grade. Prior to Basis Phoenix, I attended a French full immersion school, where most of my classes were taught in French. Therefore, I am bilingual in English and French. When I am not studying or playing soccer, I like to volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul’s Dream Center, where I help to organize Futsal Fridays. I have been volunteering there since I was 9, however the Dream Center has been closed because of COVID-19 for about a year, so I am anxious to go back once it is safe to do so.
I am eager to continue learning during college. My main academic goal is to discover various fields of psychology and psychiatry in order to decipher which ones I like the most so that I can select a career that will keep me engaged. After a very busy but fulfilling high school experience, my objective is to get into a prestigious college where I can explore the intricacies of psychology and play soccer. Thank you for reading about me!
