Nicholas Cassarino '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Nicholas Cassarino and I am passionate about soccer.  I love the sport and all the energy and excitement that comes with it.  I love playing the game, watching the game, and talking about the game.  Even my favorite video game (Pro Evolution Soccer) is about soccer.  I play outdoor, indoor, futsal and freestyle.  I have dedicated myself to the game and work hard to eat right, train hard, and recover correctly to be at my best.  I try to do the right things to reach my potential as a player and a teammate.  I have grown up around the Brazilian style (Ginga) and characterize my style of play as a creative, attacking minded goal scorer who enjoys running at players with pace, taking them on with deception, and finishing with authority.  I am a quick player, with great balance and agility and I like to use these attributes to help my team achieve its goals.  In addition to offering my team a creative attacker, I am not afraid to track back and channel players into our advantage areas to create counterattacking opportunities or lead the high press as my team hunts for turnovers in the attacking 3^rd.  In addition to my creativity and work ethic, soccer makes me happy and I bring a fun-loving spirit to the game that I find often lifts the spirits of my teammates as we play.  When I am at my best, I can be a game changer on the field and get great joy out of doing the things that help my team improve.
