Some things you should know about me are, I have loved soccer all my life and its something I plan on continuing to do after college. As a student athlete I have balanced my hectic schedule with soccer and school to the best of my ability. My love for the game has been the thing that gets me through tough seasons and the games that break you down. When I make a mistake, which rarely happens, I always reflect on it and talk to my coach to see how I can fix it and how I can make the team more successful. Between school and soccer nothing much brings me the same pleasure I feel after coming home from a long day at school and going to practice to sweat and work it out with what has now become my second family. On my team I am seen as a leader and someone who directs the flow of the game and is a constant reminder of how to get better and how to bounce back and think about the next one. Things that set me apart from the other young men you are looking at is the character I bring to the team and the resilience I show in making myself and the team better. My athletic ability is outstanding compared to some of the other goalkeepers I have played against, whether it be the way I can move through the air to make a save, my quickness to shut down a one vs. one situation, my distribution, communication or my leadership. My combination of skills and values are unmatched. In the classroom I am known as a hard working student who isn't afraid to admit that he cant do something, and in turn seek help and work as hard as I can to understand the material. I would love to bring my talents in the community, in the classroom, and on the pitch to your program.
