Personal Statement
I am very excited to continue my soccer and academic career in college. I am an active member in NHS and regularly do community service. I am in all Honors and AP classes and I work hard in school to keep my grades up.
I currently play on the Jacobs High School Varsity team as well as three different club teams; Crystal Lake Force 2003 Eilte, Crystal Lake Force 01-02 Elite NPL and Chicago Rush 2003 Select. I also play on a Sunday league with my friends against other local high school players.
I have been on the varsity soccer team since freshman year and have always been a regular starter. My freshman year we advanced to the Super-sectionals of the IHSA State Tournament. My junior year we advanced to the Super-sectionals again, losing only to the State-winning team. I played every minute of our Super-sectional run and scored the game winning PK in the Sectional finals. I also won All Conference and All Area honors in 2019.
As a left-footed player, I prefer the left side of the field. However, I have played every position on the field for both my high school and club teams.
I was a soccer referee for 10 seasons and every Monday I coach young children about the fundamentals of soccer and help them learn and love the game as I do.
Prior to my high school career, I ran for my middle school track and cross country teams. I hold the school record for the mile and was voted athlete of the year for my graduating class for both my athleticism and sportsmanship.
I am excited at the opportunity of playing at the next level with the sport that I have loved for as long as I can remember.
