Alex Jacob '24 Recruiting Profile

Dear Coaches,

My name is Alex Jacob, and I am a student-athlete graduating in 2024. I play for Future Soccer Academy, currently ranked within the top 25 in the United States, and attend Northern Valley Regional High School at Demarest.

My collegiate aspiration is to be able to thrive academically while also being able to pursue my athletic goals. As a high-achieving student, I would like to be able to attend a school where I can prove myself in both the classroom and the pitch.

I believe that I make a good candidate for many programs due to my strong leadership qualities on and off the field. Outside of playing at a very high level of soccer, I have been nominated captain of various teams for the past 8 years. I believe these qualities are vital to the success of any team.

Aside from this, I specialize in a very physical style of play at center back. I am skilled at slide tackling, stripping, shielding, heading, delaying, and counterattacking. I also have good timing, anticipation, positioning, and reading of the game.

Most of all, I believe that my best quality is my work ethic. Even if I am not the best player on the field, I know for a fact that I will outwork every single player and I am willing to prove this.
