Hi, my name is George Kaparis and I am a goalkeeper for the Class of 2023. I have had many different influences in my life growing up, with my mom being Puerto Rican and my dad being Greek. However, when I was 8 years old, my parents got divorced and that was the toughest thing I’ve been through in my life. This, along with many other events, has shaped me into the athlete I am today. Soccer has always been a big part of my life ever since I took my first Little League kick when I was 4 years old, but above everything else, soccer has always been an outlet for me to be myself. No matter what I was going through I knew that I would always have the sport by my side. Soccer has taught me to be level-headed and how to lead by example. Not only that, but it also helped me develop a strong work ethic that has translated off the field. Everyday I strive to do better in the classroom and in the future, I would like to be one of the top students in my high school class as well as receive a good college education for my desired major. I try to have a positive outlook on most things in life and that is both on and off the field. My goal is to make everybody that has helped me in my life proud and be myself at the same time.
