Growing up, my whole life has revolved around sports. I played tennis, basketball, softball, volleyball and dance. However, ever since I took my first steps on the softball field, I knew that it was my love and passion. I started playing softball in kindergarten, and this game has always put me in my happy place. It allows me to let go of all of my other stress and just have fun. With my passion for this game, I would love the opportunity to play in college. I think that I make a strong candidate for a college team because, not only do I have the skills to play the game, but all of my coaches through the years have recognized me as a great teammate. I am always cheering for my teammates, even if I am not having the best personal day or game. I tend to remind myself that this is a team sport and not an individual sport. I am proud of when my teammates hit a homerun or make an outstanding play. Another strong player quality I possess is that I am very respectful to the coaches. I listen to what they tell me to do and I do not complain about anything. For instance, if I am having a bad day or struggling with learning a certain skill, instead of getting very frustrated at myself, I like to ask my coach for help and advice. Also, coaches have recognized me for being a coachable player and having the ability to pick up new skills very quickly. I love to learn and improve. I think one of my great strengths when it comes to sports, school, or any other activity is my determination. Once I put my mind to something, I hardly ever give up. I am very persistent and I like to succeed after working on something for a while.
