Santino Scarponi '26 Recruiting Profile

      Hi, my name is Santino Scarponi. I am currently 16 years old graduating in 2026. Many things have changed throughout my life but my passion for the beautiful game has never left me. Many things have come and gone in my life whether that be schools, teams, friend groups, and more. However, soccer never seemed to find a way to leave. From the moment I was born soccer has been around me. My father played semiprofessional and both my cousins are currently playing in college. From a young age I always found my joy within soccer. While other kids rode bikes and played video games, my fun was found within penalty shootouts and crossbar challenge. My childhood foundation was with a ball at my feet. Through the sport of soccer, I have learned more life lessons than I ever will in a classroom. I have faced adversity and hardships which I had to overcome. I also found success and learned how not to let that get to my head. 

     Throughout my freshman year I maintained a 4.0 average whilst taking two honors courses. This upcoming year I have challenged myself to take four whilst also doubling up in math. My academic goals throughout high school are to keep picking up new challenges to overcome. From taking two to four honors courses will take some time to adjust. I also am doubling up in math (geometry, algebra ll) to be able to also take honors math my junior year.

           I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me academically as well as athletically. I believe and will show I not only have the talent but also the commitment to make an immediate impact on your college program. I have and will continue to put in the work both on the field and in the classroom to be an asset for your team!
