2022 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I began swimming competitively when I was 8 and have been swimming for as long as I can remember. I am planning to study engineering, economics, or computer science and swim in college. I am motivated to consistently do my best in both school and swimming. I actively contribute to classroom discussions, and I motivate others during swim practice by cheering them on. I excel at distance swimming, so I would be able to get fast times in distance events in college meets. I have made major improvements in both my swimming and academics last year, and I want to build on those improvements in the future. Some of my goals this year are to maintain my high GPA and to achieve NCAA cuts in the 500-yard freestyle, 400-yard IM, 1000-yard freestyle, and 200-yard freestyle. In addition, I want to improve my physical strength through drylands and my racing strategy so I can swim faster in all strokes.

- I have a US Sailing Small Boat certification and have raced Lightning sailboats in regattas at YMCA Camp Seagull during the summer. In my last regatta, my boat achieved 2nd place.
