One of the best feelings in the world are my nerves when standing behind the starting blocks. I can’t help from smiling through my fatigue after touching the wall knowing I gave it my all. I have developed a passion for the sport after swimming for the past 10 years. I am a percussionist in my high school Wind Symphony, which is the highest level of band. I also play the snare drum in my high school marching band which is very time consuming during the first quarter. I am still able to balance band and swim practices to maintain my competitiveness. My parents have instilled diligent study habits on me since elementary school resulting in an outstanding grade point average which will be part of my college application submission. As time goes on my love for swimming will continue at the next level.
