Gage Nielsen '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Gage Nielsen. I am a senior at Eagle Valley High School in Gypsum, Colorado and have lived here in the Vail Valley all my life. I began running across Country and Track my freshman year of high school and absolutely fell I love with the sport and it’s community. I have qualified for the Colorado High School Cross Country State Championships twice and have qualified for CO Track and Field Championships once. I have run times of 2:03 for the 800m, 4:34 for 1 mile, and 16:05 for the 5k in Cross Country, all at elevations between 4500-7000 feet in elevation. It has been my dream to compete athletically in college from a young age and I aspire to do so in Cross Country and Track. I have maintained a weighted GPA of 4.13 or above all three years of high school this far and I am currently ranked 4th in my graduating class for overall GPA. I strive to succeed to the absolute best of my ability in everything that I do and to help others achieve the same.
