Personal Statement

My name is Jimmy Mullarkey and I am a Cross Country and Track athlete at Fern Creek Traditional High School in Louisville, KY. It is a dream of mine to compete at the collegiate level of Track and Cross Country. I am currently a sophomore in high school but my goal is to compete in college. I feel that I am a good athlete and work hard to do my best. Not only for myself but for my team and school. I feel that I am a hard worker, have a good attitude and always follow the coaches instructions.

I just finished my Freshman year of Track season and loved it. The coaches are wonderful and very helpful and all the team is great. Everyone seems to work together and gets along well. I ran Varsity for Cross Country and track. Our Cross Country Team made it to State, as a team for the first time since the 1950's and our Track Team placed 3rd overall at State, ever.

I just competed in the New Balance National Outdoor, in the Freshman 1 mile and placed 12th. It was a good experience.

I love running and I am hoping that I will be able to run Track and Cross Country in college.
