Personal Statement

My name is Tyler Wright and I started running in 5th grade. I have been consistent with running throughout high school, running track and cross country every season. When I got to high school there was no track or cross country team due to lack of interest. So, I got a few of my friends to join and we made a team. One thing that separates me from every runner Is no matter how hard they work I will always work harder. Every day at practice I train until I'm the last one out there simply because I want to be the best and am willing to do whatever it takes. After High School, I went to my first year of college at SJCME and got injured in the championship race of Cross Country. I pulled my groin and had several stress fractures in both my legs. After my freshman year I took a year off of college to figure out what I wanted in life. Now, I'm hungry to get back on the track and finally have an idea of what I want to study and move forward with.
