Christopher Benitez '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Christopher Benitez and I currently attend Hackensack High School as a senior. Back in my first two years of high school, I was really into the sport of soccer but one day during my sophomore year I was told to give cross country a try. When I reached junior year of high school I gave cross country a try and I immediately formed a passion for distance running. I knew this sport was right for me and I decided to keep on running for the season of indoor and outdoor track. I made remarkable improvements during practice and races which earned me my spot on the varsity team. I am hard working athlete and I push my limits to improve each day.  My goal as a student athlete is to continue my academic and athletic career at the collegiate level. Joining the sport of cross country and track has really improved my grades and has turned me into a more dedicated person. I would like to study in the area of Accounting and I hope to get recruited by a college so that I can continue my passion for running.
