I developed a love of running when I was in 8th grade. Seeing the results I could achieve after putting in all of my hard work, was the most rewarding part. Although track is a team effort, I knew that it was my individual training and perseverance that would help my team to achieve success. There is no hiding behind a slow time. The only way I could put up a time I would be proud of was consistent training and a strong mental mindset. My coaches' training and my dedication to the sport has taught me how to push my body to achieve success at the varsity level for four years. For me, this has been the most rewarding feeling that I have ever experienced. I look forward to continuing my training and progressing even further at the college level.
