Jordan McMahon '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi Coaches!  My name is Jordan McMahon and I'll be graduating from high school in 2024.  Here’s a few things that set me apart:  my heart and my fire!!  I have a STRONG desire to WIN, to be the very best I can be, and to help my teammates do the same.   I want to be pushed to excel, and I do the same for those on my team.

My parents coached my first t-ball team when I was 5, and that's when I knew I loved the game.  I started softball the next year and have been playing since!  I have always been the smallest on my teams (until now!), so I had to make up for that in speed, work ethic, hustle and heart.  Things did not come easily for me for a few years, so I have learned the power of perseverance and determination.  It’s paying off!  

I am an honors student, earning a 4.67 GPA as a freshman and so far as a sophomore.  I am a lead-off leftie who can power slap, slap for placement, slap hard into the ground, drag bunt and hit for power.  My batting coach and I work weekly on my versatility at the plate and my ability to read, and confuse 🤪, the defense.  I'm really fast on the base path and in the outfield, and I love to go "all out" for a ball (I dove over a temporary fence twice in our last CA tourney to save homeruns!).  I have a good arm (65 MPH) that continues to improve as I grow and get stronger.  I love throwing runners out from deep in the outfield!
