Hi, my name is Kanisha Anderson and my parents have been a big influence on all my choices, which has shaped who I am today. My hitting coach Shane Wells, has been my hitting coach for many years and is someone who has also contributed to my softball growth. My dad played many sports in high school, but his favorite sport was baseball. As an adult, he plays slow pitch softball and still loves it. His love for the game was the reason I became interested in softball but is not the reason why I continue to play and love it. I started playing softball in first-year eights and it was amazing. By playing softball I realized how important it is to be a team player and that the game is not about individualized success, it's about your team's success and mental, physical and emotional growth. My academic goals are to have all A's in all my honor classes. The one big thing I had to learn is that nobody is perfect, everyone makes mistakes, and learning from your mistakes is the most important thing. My unique skills are I always know to never give up, be open to new ideas, and I always know there's always a way to get better because there's something new to learn every day.
