I've been into softball since I was 9 years old. Although I started out with a passion for hockey (I was a "star" goalie at 7), my mom showed me how much of a challenge and joy softball could be. I have been in love with the game immensely ever since. I am extremely competitive, doing my best to contribute to a winning season. Reviewing video after every game, practicing in my garage in the middle of winter, and getting out to the field to practice by myself is normal for me. I have an equal passion for volunteerism.
I volunteer at ARC, a thrift store chain and series of programs that assists people with developmental disabilities. I assist in the office with administrative duties such as filing. My favorite part of volunteering are the events we hold for the "Ambassadors". We have our Fashion show and Gala fundraiser (the Ambassadors are the runway models), WWE wrestling viewing nights, fishing trips to Waterton Canyon, Clothes drives and handing out clothes at the annual thanksgiving dinner in downtown Denver. I am a hard worker, funny, and am also determined to be the best softball player I could possibly be, while at the same time excelling academically.
I love my family, and am grateful for every opportunity they have given me, encouraging me to push on when things got difficult. I hope to major in Architectural Engineering, Graphic Design, or Computer Science. I am a HUGE nerd. I love to play video games, draw, and go out with friends, teammates, and my family. I love to take technology apart and put it back together. I am curious to learn how modern technology works and what the little pieces of something make it work as one machine. Going off of that, I am a great teammate, and am possibly your perfect small piece to make a part of an amazing team. Going to college as a student athlete would prove that all of my hard work and dedication to be a great athlete and young woman payed off, and all those long practices and working past dark to get my pitching form right would’ve been for something. I encourage everyone to be the best person they can be, while also enjoying the small things in life, while also taking into consideration the first reason why they wanted to play the game in the first place, wether it was to hang out with friends after school or to get yourself out of the house, but in the end they’ll know it’s worth it because they had fun doing it and that’s what matters!
