Emma DiGiacomo Zahller '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Emma DiGiacomo Zahller and I am a sophomore J. K. Mullen High School in Denver, Colorado; class of 2020.  Mullen is a college prep school and this year I am taking two honors courses, as well as, playing varsity softball for a second season.  I also play competitive ball for the Colorado Angels 16A coached by Chris Hutton.

In addition to attending a college that has a strong sense of community and will foster my interest in English, Literature, and Forensics, I am looking for a softball program to join, contribute to, and one that will help me grow, on and off the field.

There are many things I love about playing softball including learning more about the game, refining and adjusting my skills, working hard, competition, friendship, shared experiences and being part of a team.

My strengths as a player include my versatility, performance at the plate, attitude, and appreciation of my teammates and coaches. I play 3rd base for my competitive team and outfield for my high school team. I have also played left and right field, 2^nd base and 1^st base.  As a player, I will play where my coaches and team need me. My strengths as a hitter include: my ability to see the ball, my patience at the plate, my speed and versatility (I can drive the ball, place it, and bunt when needed).  Finally, I value my team and coaches. In addition to being coachable, I see myself as a hard worker, driven to improve myself and contribute to my team. My contributions include respect for my team, myself and the game, hard work, lifting up my teammates, and striving to always learn and improve my game.
