Madison Sanford '27 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I'm Madison Sanford and I'm a three sport athlete but softball is and has always been my favorite. I'm from Watertown, CT, but I go to Cheshire Academy ('27) where I play JV Volleyball, JV Basketball, and Varsity Softball. For Travel softball, I play on the Watertown Rapids 16u Blue. At CA I was a starter throughout the entire season playing second base or right field. On the Rapids I mostly play second base or center. I started playing softball at the age of 4 and shortly after I grew a love for it. I consider both softball and academics my main passions to succeed in the future. I'm looking for a four year university and I am willing to travel anywhere for college! During my time at the university I plan on studying finance or economics. What makes me such a good student athlete is that I've had many years of balancing school and sports, so I'm very good with time management. I ended freshman year with mostly A+'s and was selected as first honors both semesters. At school I was chosen to become a Day Student Prefect. This a a major leadership role at my school and only the best student are chosen. The role of a Day Student Prefect is to be not just mentor to day students but also be a friend to any new or current students. Our jobs are to make them feel welcomed at the school and help them with any problems they face. I believe this role will help me grow as a leader in the future and I'm very excited to be doing it.
