Over the course of my life I have been playing softball, soccer, and volleyball. I am currently a varsity athlete in two sports; softball and volleyball. In softball, I play for my high school team and travel team, the Connecticut Outlaws 18u, where I am a first baseman and a pitcher. I am a dedicated player both on the field and off the field by practicing and improving my techniques to be a better overall player. This includes many hours of private lessons on pitching and hitting over the last few years, so I can perform to my fullest potential. I enjoy playing volleyball for a highly successful high school program that is both challenging and rewarding. This year my volleyball team was 2017 Class S State Champions. The past two years of playing on a varsity level of both softball and volleyball have shown me the value of teamwork.
I am currently a junior in the 2017-2018 school year where I attend Coventry High School in Coventry, CT. I have made it a goal to take challenging honors and AP level courses and hold a 4.1 GPA. Academics are my number one priority because my education is important to me. I take academically advanced courses so that I can be well prepared for college. When looking at a college, the most important characteristics for me is to have the major I am looking for; biology/pre-med and be highly selective. Eventually, I hope to attend medical school and become a radiologist.
Along with my dedication to my academics and sports I am very involved in my school and community. I have been the Secretary of my class for the past three years where we have organized fundraisers and school spirit days. I am on the band leadership team for my high school band where I play the clarinet. I enjoy volunteering and working with different organizations to help raise money for pediatric cancer.
As you can see from above, I am a person who believes in hard work both in my academics and sports careers. I would be a valuable asset to any college softball team as well as the college itself. I cannot imagine my life without softball and hope to continue my passions in college as well. Thank you for viewing my profile.
