My name is Madison DeWitt, but my teammates and coaches call me Maddog. I am 5'6 catcher/utility player. My dream has been to play softball at a college level. I started playing t-ball when I was 4 years old. The first time I picked up the ball I fell in love and have played ever since. I played baseball until I was 12 years old and came to love the catchers position. I was one of the few players on the team who didn't have a fear of the ball. My first year playing baseball on little league I got the Rookie of the Year Award and I recently got the Tyburski Award my freshman year in highschool. I started going to baseball and softball clinics when I was 10 years old to get as much training in as I could. When I was 13 years old, I completely switched over to softball and loved it just as much as baseball. Baseball and softball have made a big impact in my life. They both taught me to have self confidence, determination, be respectful of others, and to think outside the box. I am very coachable and have great sportsmanship. I have been placed in every position on the field and I play my absolute hardest in each one at practice and games.
I am interested in Physical Therapy so I am looking for a college with those programs. I would like a college that pushes me to be my best academically and athletically. I know I am a great candidate for any school because I am hard working, dedicated, passionate about getting good grades and able to adapt in any setting.
