My name is Analise Hubert and I’m a student at St. Joseph’s High School in Trumbull, CT. I am a Student Ambassador and maintain a 3.8 GPA. I played freshman volleyball and currently play softball. I am mainly an outfielder but can play 3B and 1B. One of the reasons I chose St. Joe’s is because of the education they provide and how they help to prepare students for college. It has helped me to grow tremendously as a student and as a person for others. I have done well academically but I am most proud of being a Student Ambassador which allows me to meet new people and share with them not only myself but how important high school is in forming your future steps. During my time at St. Joe’s service to others was part of being able to graduate but it became enjoyable to me rather than a graduation requirement. I volunteered at camps for inner city youth and at camps in my community. I worked with my local Little League as a Challenger Buddy helping special needs children play baseball and with AYSO as a Soccer Buddy for special needs children. It was through these experiences that I realized I would like to be a special education teacher. I have played softball since I was 7 years old starting out in Little League then moving up to travel softball. I have played on various teams throughout my career but my high school team has been my most favorite. I love the girls I have played with and we are truly a family that blends well not only on the field but off the field as well. There is nothing better than our Friday night pasta dinners or our Sunday after game tailgates! My ultimate goal is to become a teacher with a concentration in special education but to also play softball in college. I want to have the same camaraderie with teammates that playing sports allows for. I also hope to get involved with organizations that give back to others and are active within the community. Meeting new people and connecting with them is something I value and I feel it will help me with my future endeavors.
