The day my father put on the little league world series, my seven year old self became entranced with softball, and I've been in love with the sport ever since. I grew up watching my brother play baseball, only making my craving to play more intense. I knew from the moment I held a bat for the first time that this driving passion of mine will inspire me to strive for collegiate level.
I am very agile on the field and my hustle and determination to execute every play is something I pride myself in. My mental strength, strong and accurate arm, and high softball IQ are all things that play a part in my success on the field. I always maintain a positive attitude despite adversity, and I make it my mission to uplift my peers and encourage them to be their best selves. Although some may get annoyed, I am always the loudest on the field, cheering on all those around me, extremely invested in the game at all moments. I am always supportive of my peers and I am very coachable. I digest information quickly, and my drive to improve and learn is unmatched. I am hardworking and motivated at all times, and I put my all into softball.
I consistently work on my craft all year round, playing travel ball in the summer and participating in winter workouts during open cage time at Loomis Chaffee, while maintaining my physical strength with lift. I also play volleyball in the fall to keep active and build better team leadership skills. These things contribute to my development in my athletic ability, stamina, power, and overall health. I am very academically driven as well, as Loomis Chaffee provides complex and difficult courses that expand my knowledge and challenge me. I have always been a type A student, dedicating a lot of my time to ensure my success in my academics. Due to my concussion during my sophomore year, my grades weren't an accurate representation of my capabilities. Despite this, I was able to push through and pass all of my classes, allowing me to move into more advanced classes and continue my education on a better note.
