Hello, my name is Jenifer Garces. Throughout these past years, softball has played a huge roll in my life. It has given me a forum to meet new people and express myself in ways that other activities don’t allow me to. Currently, I’m attending a medical high school, which sadly doesn’t have a sports program. But my dedication to this sport is unparalleled. With the setback of not having a sports program at my school, I drive to the nearest high school that does, just to be able to express myself with this sport I love. The distinction between me and other recruits is my dedication and love for both school and softball. Softball allows me to express myself and show that as a woman I can do anything; school allows me to show my intellect and foster newfound knowledge in science and math. My love and my dedication to both aspects that are present in my life are what motivates me to keep forward in my goal to succeed in both.

- AwardsI competed twice in the HOSA competitions, in which I received first place in the district in the forensic medicine competition and moved on to the states competition in Orlando as a freshman. As a junior I competed in the Health Career Photography competition and received 5th place in the district.
- ActivitiesI am in the National Science Honor Society and an Awareness club in which we discuss pressing issues around the world during the present time.
