Personal Statement
Ever since I was little, my dream was to play college softball. I use to watch teams play on TV, and one thing that always stuck out to me was how every player on the field was a known leader. Each player showed some kind of leadership and importance to the game. That is when I knew that my future was going to be playing softball.
Being on a competitive team is very important to me. Being a utility player all my life I’ve learned every position, and the importance and leadership it takes to play each. In these past two years I’ve taken on a big leadership in center field. I have also shown confidence and leadership on the mound.
I want to be a leader. I want little girls to watch me and fall in love with the sport, just how I have. I’ve played other sports including basketball, but softball has and will always be #1.
Fall seven times, stand up eight. I think that best describes who I am as a person and a player. Nothing will stop me, I will keep moving ahead regardless of the tough times, and I will NEVER give up.
