Coach:

    My name is Cheryl Barnes and I would love to play for your team.  If you are looking for a versatile player who loves to play, enjoys team camaraderie, and works very hard on and off the field, then you have found the right girl!  My father, who has coached me for many years, has always taught me to be prepared to play wherever there is a need.  I have played every position on the team and will strive to be the missing puzzle piece to your team's needs, no matter what they may be.  I am a people person and love to have fun in the dugout while rooting my teammates on.  I am a very hard worker at everything I do.  I have maintained a 3.2+ GPA in high school while competing in not only softball but volleyball, basketball, and track as well.  I have taken pitching and hitting lessons since I was eight years old and am always willing to go the extra mile to get the job done.  To wrap things up, I want to emphasize to you my love for the game.  When I was 5, I was told I was too young to play because I had missed the age cutoff by 20 days.  I was crushed...but even then, I went to every practice of my sister's and worked out with the team, went to every game and shagged balls and bats and helped them warm up.  When I finally got to play the following year, I never looked back.  That love of the game, that eagerness to play has never left me.  It is what drives me and it is what will make me an excellent addition to your team.  Thank you for taking the time to check out my profile and I look forward to talking to you!
