I believe that playing softball is what made me the person I am today. While playing I learned that you have to have a lot of unique qualities. You have to be able to listen, push yourself, have determination, and most of all have confidence. If you have confidence you can go a lot farther than if you didn't. I believe that confidence is a big reason in why I pitch. I think I decided to pitch because I wanted to be a strong leader, just like anyone would. Being a pitcher requires you to be confident in yourself and all of your team. If you make a mistake you have to know that your teammates have your back. I've been told by my coach for along time that if you become an individual player you are weak, but if you play together as a team you're a lot stronger. I say this to myself before I go out on the field because I know that my team has my back, so I need to have theirs.
