My name is Rose Kiok-Kirshenbaum and I am a junior at Meridian Academy. I graduate in 2026. I started playing softball when I was young, always throwing the ball in the backyard and having my dad coach me. When covid hit, I was finishing my sixth grade year and discouraged that I wouldn’t be able to play with my friends the upcoming year. While this ended up being true, I was always exited to get right back on the field when I could. For me, softball is not just about the sport but also the tightly knit friendships that come with it. Softball is a second family to me and I can’t imagine not playing. Off the field, I am equally committed to academic excellence and personal growth. Maintaining a strong GPA while balancing my athletic commitments and working at a local sports store has taught me time management and discipline—skills that will serve me well both in college and beyond. What sets me apart as a recruit is not just my athletic ability, but my relentless drive to improve and contribute to a team’s success. Both my coaches and teachers talk about how I am flexible and extremely coachable. I look forward to contributing to a culture of excellence and sportsmanship while pursuing my academic and athletic goals.
