Personal Statement
Since I was young, I have always had the dream of playing softball at the collegiate level. When I picked up a bat and a ball at the age of 3, I became inseparable from the sport and that has continued throughout my life. From that moment on, I have loved the individual and team competition. I have played Division I Varsity Softball for Keene High School for all my years of high school and I have played on travel teams since eighth grade. The travel organizations I have played for include: Diamond Devils, Brattleboro Heat, Plex Softball Club, and currently Southern New Hampshire Huskies Softball Club.
On the field, my coaches and teammates describe me as a confident and focused player. I am hardworking and dedicated to my team. My goal is to be a leader to my teammates on the field and in the classroom. I have maintained a 3.861 GPA while being enrolled in many honors courses throughout my high school years and have been awarded as a Scholar Athlete since my freshmen year. My peers describe me as sociable and friendly as well as dedicated to making my school community the best it can be. Being a member of SALC (Student Athlete Leadership Council), Keene Interact Club, Junior Lions Club, and National Honor Society have helped me better my schoolwide environment and my community. I do this through community service and volunteering at local events. Everyone around me knows I am a dedicated student athlete, and with the continuous support of my family and peers, I am eagerly embracing the challenge of becoming a student athlete at the collegiate level.
After college, I am looking to have a job in the business or sports marketing field, so I am looking for a school with strong sports management and business programs. I would love to potentially incorporate softball into my future career. I am looking to go to a school in the northeast.
Thank you for taking the time to look over my profile.
