My time being a softball player has helped me become a better person academically and athletically. I started becoming interested in softball around 9 years old because I went to batting cages for the first time. Since the beginning of my softball journey I’ve had many obstacles . One obstacle had to face was starting my softball journey later than other kids. Since I started when I was 9 years old I had to practice and work hard everyday to get as good or better than my competition. Now playing softball is a stress reliever for me because it is a competitive but fun sport where I can just be myself. Also I’m the first person in my family to have the chance to play at a competitive level and I don’t want that to go to waste. I’ve even been able to play at the All American games in Ocean City! Softball helps me academically because without having good grades I cannot go anywhere in the future with softball. You can be the best player ever but not get into colleges because of bad grades so I push myself to do my best in school. Even though living in a single parent household does come with many obstacles but my mother still supports me endlessly & push me to be the best I can be. Many people ask what your goals are after high school so honestly My goal is just to be successful in school & as a softball player. I want to push myself to be better & hopefully you can follow me on my journey!
