My name is Dakota Dickerson and I am a sophomore at Vance Charter School in Henderson NC. This will be my second year on the Varsity team as a starter and we are back-to-back Conference Champions as well as finishing 3rd in the State last year.
I began playing softball at the age of 4. I love the game. I have always played up an age group. I began pitching at age 6 and attend weekly batting and pitching lessons as well as conditioning. When not pitching, I love playing short stop or third base. I don't get upset or stressed and prefer the pressure to be on my shoulders in tough situations.
My softball IQ is high. I watch the game, I study the game, I practice the game, I love the game. My mom played and coached and has been instrumental in making me a very intelligent player. I am aware of rules and situations that most my age aren't. I love to learn and become better at everything I set out to do.
