I have played softball ever since I was eight, and have always hoped for the opportunity to play in college. I'm primarily a first baseman, right fielder and left fielder, but also have played many other positions. I typically bat in the 3-4-5 spot. Last year, at the end of my High School 2019 Junior Softball Season, I received the MVP and All Conference Awards. I am interested in pursuing a major in biology. I would love to attend a University that can provide an outstanding education to prepare me for my future, and if that could be combined with the opportunity to play on an amazing softball team, it would be a dream come true.
I am currently a Senior at Reidsville High School, in Reidsville NC (Class of 2020) and the President of the Senior Class. As a rising college freshman, when I look back over my high school "Softball Experience," I can say that I definitely consider myself as a leader. We have also had many other leaders on our team. Each year our team has been comprised of a great group of girls who were all "Team Players." There is no "I" in "Team." In order to win, everyone must do their job and do it very well! Most of the girls on my team have been playing together, either on the same team or on an opposing team, against each other, every since we were 3 years old playing T-Ball with "The City of Reidsville Recreation Department. "
It has always been my personal goal and intention to work hard each and every day to perfect my knowledge and skills of the game. Almost all my life, I have been playing softball. Every since I started playing softball, I knew that one day I would want to take the next step, to play at the collegiate level. Every time that I have an opportunity, I am working out in the weight room, on the field, at the track, at the batting cage and also at Cross Fit, to condition and strengthen my body. I am a very hardworking, disciplined player who welcomes constructive criticism and who consistently uses it to better myself as a player. I always listen and respond in a positive manner to my coaches and my team members. I never give up and I never quit until the final whistle blows! It is my personal goal and intention to continue to work hard each and every day to perfect my knowledge and skills of the game and it is my goal and desire to play college softball!!!
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME: I have been a member of the band and the chorus. I play the clarinet. I was also voted to be a member of our Senior Class Homecoming Court This past Summer (2019), I was selected to attend "Girl's State," which was a very rewarding and life changing experience. Throughout the year, I regularly volunteer with many different organizations in an effort to assist with local causes in my area. It gives me great pleasure to know that I am making a difference in my community.
Academically, I am striving hard to keep my grades as high as possible and to do the best that I can do to achieve academic excellence. I am very focused on my performance, on and off the softball field and I take my grades, as well as my craft very seriously. I believe that there is always room for improvement and that I will only get out of life what I put into it. I am a hard worker and I believe that my hard work will eventually pay off and get me where I want to be in life. It's never too late to dream. It's never too late to believe in yourself and in your goals in life. When times get hard, faith is always the key to your destiny! I believe that everyone has a purpose and by believing in themselves and in their goals in life, they can succeed! I believe in myself!!! I believe in my dreams, in my goals and in my aspirations!!! I am very determined and I know that I am a winner and that I will succeed!!!
I hope to find the right college that suits me, which offers an opportunity to obtain a superior education, as well as an opportunity to participate in a top-quality softball athletic program. I believe that if I continue to do my best and to work hard in the classroom, in the weight room and on the softball field, I will be a very valuable asset as a student, and as a player who is ready to go to college and who is ready to play softball at the next level.
